A bit about me

I work as a coach, facilitator and psychologist, with a background in nature connection and adventure. I support people to move through complexity with clarity, purpose and care, always with a focus on what matters most to them.

My work is shaped by a lifelong interest in human potential and by years of practical experience helping people grow, learn and recover confidence. Clients often come to me when something important is shifting. Sometimes it’s about identity. Sometimes it’s leadership, or relationships, or direction. What matters is creating space to explore those moments with honesty and momentum.

Foundations

Whatever I’ve done in my career, it has always been about people. About connection, communication and the relationships that help us grow.

I spent almost 30 years teaching swimming, often alongside other roles. Early on, I worked in sales, where I had some success in a short but formative career. It gave me insight into performance culture and the pressures that often come with it. It also deepened my interest in what helps people stay true to themselves while striving for more.

While still working across these areas, I returned to study as a mature student. I completed a BA in Sport & Adventure Recreation and later an MSc in Psychology.

Along the way, I became fascinated by the relationship between physical, emotional and cognitive capacity. I also began to explore what happens when we’re stretched beyond what we think we can hold. A solo expedition in the Pyrenees gave me one of the clearest insights I’ve had into stress, decision-making and personal resilience.

The shape of my work today

I now work with individuals, teams and organisations across a range of sectors including creative industries, higher education, professional services, healthcare, climate and social impact. Most of my work is delivered through Create Flow, the consultancy I co-founded to bring together people who share similar values and approaches.

My style is relational, intuitive and grounded in psychological insight. I’ve trained in a range of approaches including mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), experiential and nature-based learning. I’ve also studied Biomimicry, which continues to inform how I think about leadership and systems. I'm drawn to the edges where people are working with complexity, ambiguity and change, often in roles that carry responsibility for others.

Coaching and credentials

I hold an Advanced Coaching accreditation with the Association for Coaching and am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (MBPsS). I’m also a Fellow of the RSA and a member of the UK Values Alliance. I continue to support the development of other coaches by co-facilitating ‘The Challenge of Change’, a module on the Wise Goose Advanced Coaching programme, where I also trained.
